"I'm With Kap"! Colin Kaepernick Released His Own Limited-Edition Football Jerseys And Sold Out Within Hours
It’s the Colin Kaepernick take over!
For those who don’t know, after his appearance on Nike’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” ad campaign, the company generated more than $43 million in media exposure within 24 hours.
Now, the NFL free agent, known for taking a knee during the national anthem, announced that he designed his own limited-edition football jerseys that were available for pre-sale—in hours they sold out!
On Monday (Sept. 10), the 30-year-old athlete posted on his Instagram photos of the football jerseys that he designed himself featuring “#IMWITHKAP” strewn across the front, “Kaepernick” on the back and the number “7.”
In hours, he returned to announce to his 3.1 million Instagram followers that the $175 jerseys were sold out!
What’s even more dope is that 20 percent of the proceeds are going towards the activist’s “Know Your Rights” campaign, which is an organization created for the youth to help “raise awareness on self-empowerment,” as well as give "instructions on how to properly interact with law enforcement in various scenarios."
Proof he's just doing it for the culture!
