Lizzo Reflects On Wearing A “Truth Hurts” Dress To The VMAs: Two Years Later, She’s Performing
Lizzo is on a major high and we hope that it never comes down.
Yesterday (Aug. 22) the “Juice” singer took us on a trip down memory lane when she posted on her Twitter a video of when she attended the MTV Video Music Awards in 2017.
Lizzo was in attendance of the show to promote her soon to be released single, “Truth Hurts”.
“I just took a DNA test, got the results back and I am 100% that B***H,” she shares during an interview as she celebrates attending the VMA wearing a wedding dress with the words, “Truth Hurts” in bold, rainbow colors.
Fast forward to 2019, and the singer/rapper/flutist is not just in attendance, she will be performing on stage at the awards in Newark, NJ to give us everything that she has as an artist.
“TBT to the @vmas 2017 when I wore TRUTH HURTS on my dress to promote my new single... now I’m performing on that same stage!!!” she captions the Tweet. “I’m so thankful y’all... don’t stop fighting for your passion because your time is coming.”
Her words of encouragement are a simple blessing.
