Should we really be surprised that DJ Kahled threw his one-year-old son, Asahd, a larger-than-life birthday party? Not really. But it’s details like renting out Miami nightclub LIV at Fontainebleau and Diddy hosting the tot’s party that had the internet abuzz the entire weekend. Asahd’s jungle-themed bash included celeb guests, go-go dancers dressed as safari animals and a Just Dance sponsorship. The My Super Sweet 16-style event cost a reported six figures to buyout the venue alone.
While most babies wouldn’t have a clue what to do at such an extravagant party, it should be noted Asahd isn’t just any average old baby. He’s an executive producer after all and there was even a brief interruption during the festivities so that the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) could present him with his very own mini-plaque for being executive producer on his father’s now platinum-certified album, Grateful . Epic, no?
The baby boy also enjoyed an elaborate birthday cake covered in photos of his face, a tiny pimped-out ride and plenty of dancing with mom, Nicole Tuck, and his famous dad (with whom he matched).
All in all, Asahd was living his best life, which is basically our wildest dreams. Just looking at the photos from the party gives us a case of FOMO. Apparently we weren’t the only ones, either. Rapper T.I. sent Asahd a b-day message via Instagram since he couldn’t make the party.
“Hate we missed ya party, we'll pull up on you asap & drop your gift off. Try to get some rest. Try not to work too hard & just enjoy your----- Man wait, this is a legit one year old I'm talkin to,” he captioned a pic of the newly minted one-year-old.
We feel you, Tip.
