And no, it's not a sexual attraction to pans.
Janelle Monae recently talked with Rolling Stone and said that she is now an open pansexual woman. "Someone who has been in relationships with both men and women – I consider myself to be a free-a** motherf**ker."
The "Tightrop"' singer is not the first to come out as an open pan-sexual. In recent years, The Voice judge Miley Cyrus came out in 2015 letting everyone know that she was pan-sexual and proud. While the term pansexual can be dated back to 2007, it is still not a well known term to many.

Though just hearing the word may make you think of someone that has a sexual attraction to pans and food cooked in one, that is not the fact. The word pan is a Greek word meaning all.
