This Couple Had An 'Everything Is Love'-Themed Wedding Just 1 Day After Album Drop

"It really is 'Everything is Love' love that got us through."

Beyoncé may have aired out all of Jay-Z’s “dirty laundry” on Lemonade as therapy to heal their relationship, but the superstar is out here saving other relationships, too! Really though, what’s better therapy than a Beyoncé’s catalog of hits on love, heartbreak and healing?

John H. Holmes III, 46, and Zakiyyah Mustafaa, 36, made sure to pay special tribute to Queen Bey at their nuptials last week considering her songs brought them out of a rough patch of their 8-year-long relationship. "Zakiyyah is a huge Beyoncé fan, and her music is like her therapy. When Lemonade came out, it was the toughest of the eight years we had been together. We actually didn’t think we were going to make it. But the songs and the growth in the album helped us both," the groom told BET exclusively.

They even went as far as to recreate the now iconic shot of Bey and Jay standing in front of the Mona Lisa from “Ape Sh*t” visuals off their surprise album drop of Everything Is Love last weekend for their wedding portrait. John and Zakiyyah wed at the St Regis Atlanta on Sunday, June 17, in front of 125 guests just one day after the video was released, but that didn’t stop them from incorporating one last bit of Bey into their nuptials.

[Our photographer,] Suzanne, knew Zakiyyah is a huge Beyoncé fan and really wanted to capture the flawless look and just perfection for our wedding day. We have gone through so much, so many bumps and bruises, and we hung in there and made it. And it really is 'Everything Is Love' love that got us through and continues to propel us,” John explained.

Other Beyoncé highlights of the big day included a choreographed first dance to a melody of Bey’s songs and an emotional moment when the bride danced to Beyoncé’s "Daddy," with her brother in place of her father-daughter dance in honoring her father who passed away.

There was also some non-Bey-related entertainment in the form of an exclusive performance by the artist MAJOR of his hit song "This Is Why I Love You" as well as his newly released song, "Better With You In It." Now that’s pretty major!

John and Zakiyyah’s love story has truly weathered a storm. John had just lost his home to foreclosure in Atlanta, was broke and homeless. He actually needed a truck to move his things and winded up in Zakiyyah’s mom’s driveway to rent one where his future wife was standing in the driveway. After a couple of smooth moves that included him slipping her a copy of “The Secret” with his digits written inside at the dentist office where she worked, they eventually clicked. “She kept positive vibes for me during my period of homelessness and helped me rebuild,” John talks of his Mrs.

Congrats to happy couple and may their honeymoon BEY amazing!
