This YouTube Dad Is Called Out For His Demeaning Tweets About Black Women
Excuse us as we pick our jaws up from the floor.
According to Buzzfeed News, Austin McBroom, the father of an extremely successful family YouTube channel ACE Family, is being called out for screenshots of his older tweets that are not only racially insensitive but also disparaging to women—more specifically, women of color.
See the tweets that have fans unfollowing by the minute.
Started in January 2016 by Austin and his wife, Catherine Paiz, the ACE Family channel, which features loads of vlogs, challenges and pranks, has garnered a whopping 10 million followers. The couple even had Kylie Jenner throw them a luxe gender reveal party!
Now fans are sounding off on the disturbing tweets.
What’s most alarming about these tweets is the fact that the family, who's expecting baby #2, had such a wholesome image with their 2-year-old daughter, Elle, and now his ridiculous comments dating back to 2011 has warped it.
For those that don't know, this isn't the first time the 26-year-old video personality was placed in hot water for his tweets.
Earlier this year, Austin found himself being called a racist, to which he responded in a video, calling it "fucking hilarious" and "some straight bullsh*t," even getting his Black mother to defend him.
"Now that I think about it...wasn't your ex-girlfriend black?" his mother questioned in defense of her son.
She then went on to say, "You're a jokester. I know it was a joke," referring to her son's old tweets.
This only makes us think that any apology video due to be released will be taken lightly, SMH.
ICYMI: This isn’t the first YouTube family sensation destroyed by a father’s careless tweets. Last month, the bi-racial McClure twin’s white stepfather was called out and canceled for his "racist" tweets.
Not a good look, not a good look at all.
