John Lewis


John Lewis, a famous politician and civil rights leader, has served as the U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 5th congressional district since 1987. He is also the dean of the Georgia congressional delegation. He is the only living “Big Six” leader of the American Civil Rights Movement and he has played a major role in the struggle to end legalized racial discrimination and segregation.
