Remember when the holidays would roll around and we’d look forward to seeing how Michelle Obama would decorate the White House? Really, any peek into the Obama’s reign in the White House was a treat. Well, this year it’s Melania Trump’s turn and let’s just say things got VERY white — quite literally. Stephanie Grisham, the director of communications for the FLOTUS, tweeted out an image of a stark looking corridor “decorated” with white, bone-like branches that didn’t bring to mind thoughts of holiday cheer despite this statement from Melania.

“The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House,” the first lady said in a statement. “As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us. I hope when visiting the People’s House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays.”

Whose home?? The haunting scene was more than enough ammo for Twitter to go off with LOL-worthy memes, especially considering this year’s White House Christmas decor is supposed to be “time-honored traditions.”
