Herschel Walker’s Son Accuses Him Of ‘Lies’ And ‘Atrocities’ Against His Mother

Christian Walker also attacks conservatives who say he is not authentic.

Georgia U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker, is embroiled in a new controversy involving his family and which places focus on his past and his stance on reproductive rights.

His son, Christian, 23, took to social media on Monday (Oct. 3), blasting Walker over his past relationship with his mother. Himself a conservative that has commented frequently on fatherlessness, Christian Walker did not mince words and made his feelings clear.

“I know my mom and I would really appreciate if my father Herschel Walker stopped lying and making a mockery of us,” Walker said in the tweet. “You’re not a “family man” when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over six times in six months running from your violence.

In an Instagram post, also from Monday he went further into his criticism of his father.

“I stayed silent as the atrocities against my mother were downplayed,” Walker, who appeared at a campaign rally with his father last year, continued. “I stayed silent when it came out that my father Herschel Walker had all these random kids across the country, none of whom he raised. And you know my favorite issue to talk about is father absence. Surprise! Because it affected me.”

The social media posts came after the The Daily Beast reported that Walker paid for an abortion in 2009, citing a bank deposit receipt with an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker and a “get well” card from the former NFL playe and Heisman Trophy winner to the woman who had the procedure. Her identity was not revealed. Walker has denied paying for an abortion and has threatened to sue The Daily Beast.

Walker, 60, who is attempting to unseat Sen. Raphael Warnock in the Georgia U.S. Senate race, has followed right wing conservative Republicans on abortion and reproductive rights and has said that he supports an abortion ban with no exceptions.

“There’s no exception in my mind,” Walker told reporters, according to The Hill, on May 18. “Like I say, I believe in life. I believe in life.” Additionally, Walker’s campaign told the news outlet that he is “pro-life and will not apologize for that.”

Meanwhile, although Christian Walker didn’t specify the “atrocities” he spoke of, he was vociferous in calling his father a liar.

“Everything has been a lie! I’m just saying don’t lie,” he said. “Don’t lie on my mom. Don’t lie on me. Don’t lie on the lives you’ve destroyed and act like you’re some moral family man. Y’all should care about that, conservatives.”

Christian railed against conservatives questioning his “authenticity” and saying he “looks suspicious.” He claims he received calls from “people on the right” asking him to go on the campaign trail and support his father. He also has a message to “certain political pundits” on the right: “Don’t try me!”
