Baltimore Police Release Mugshots of Officers

Diversity seen in pics of cops charged with Freddie Gray's death.

Mugshots of all six police officers charged in connection with the death of Freddie Gray have been released, finally revealing the identities of the people whose alleged brutality has led to the Baltimore Uprising and solidarity marches in cities across the country.
Surprising many was that three of the six officers, including the only one charged with murder, are Black. The demographics of the accused has sparked fierce debate about whether the races of the officers should be mentioned in headlines covering the case.

Liberals are slamming the mostly conservative news organizations and pundits who are seizing on the story that three of the accused are Black and using that fact as rationale that Gray's murder was not race related, while those on the opposite point of view are calling out liberal bias that includes race as part of a narrative when it suits them, and ignores it when it does not.
Community activists have maintained that it's a Black and blue issue.

As far as the accused officers are concerned, State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced Friday morning her office's intent to pursue criminal charges against all six in connection to Gray's arrest and death from a severed spinal cord while in police custody. Gray's death had been ruled a homicide by the medical examiner.
