Black Twitter also reacted to the billion-dollar Twitter sale.

Twitter has officially been acquired for $44 billion by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, and several requests are coming on how to make the popular social media platform, including one from rapper Ice Cube.

The N.W.A. artist caught wind of the Twitter buyout which took place on Monday (April 25) and headed to his official account to ask the new owner to remove his “shadow ban.”

“Free at last!,” Ice Cube wrote. “Take off my shadow ban homie.”

While Musk did not directly respond to the rapper’s request he did issue an official statement explaining what he hopes to see for Twitter now that he is the owner.

Twitter has tremendous potential — I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”
