Regina King Will Serve As A Co-Chair For This Year's Met Gala—Here's What We Know!
And just like that-the Met Gala is back!
Finally after two years, the annual Met Gala will return to its normal scheduling on the first Monday of May. The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the star-studded lineup of co-chairs for The Costume Institute’s annual spring benefit including Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Last September the event took place on a much smaller scale with the theme, Part 1: In America Exhibition – an homage to American designers. Part Two which is dubbed An Anthology of Fashion will explore the foundations of American fashion through a series of sartorial displays featuring individual designers and dressmakers who worked in the United States from the 19th to the mid-late 20th century.
Regina King first made her Met Gala debut last year, wearing a custom Michael Kors strapless gown with gold pinstripe embroidery topped with a coat with sewn gold sequins over her shoulders. We cannot wait to see what she wears as co-chair this year!
