After months of denying that she’s been struggling with a cognitive health decline, Wendy Williams was taken to the hospital following a wellness check on Monday, March 10.

According to The New York Post, the media personality, 60, was transported to a Manhattan hospital by the ambulance “for evaluation” after a call was made to 911. Upon NYPD arrival at the scene, authorities inquired about Williams being in an assisted living facility during her guardianship, as she’s been alleged to have aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Williams has been under a court-ordered guardianship since 2022. Still, in recent interviews on radio program “The Breakfast Club” and podcast “2 Angry Men,” In the latter interview, Williams called out her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., for misusing her finances and claimed that she’s been held prisoner in her current living arrangement and disallowed to go outside.

Williams has desperately pleaded to be released from the facility. The Post also alleged that a handwritten note reading “Help! Wendy!!” was tossed from Williams’ window.

With Adult Protective Services investigating Williams’ ordeal, she’s next scheduled to be a guest on “The View” on Friday, March 15. Williams and her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, have been involved in a legal battle for several months to end her conservatorship. However, Morrissey claims that the former talk show host is “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and legally incapacitated.”

Williams’ mental health has been the focus of the 2024 Lifetime docuseries “Where Is Wendy Williams?” and the TMZ special “Saving Wendy,” which premiered in February.
