Flavor Flav has teamed up with GoFundMe and the Black Music Action Coalition to help Black families rebuild after California’s Eaton Fire. Meanwhile, Ski Mask The Slump God is doing his part by headlining a Rolling Loud pop-up in Florida, to raise funds for wildfire relief. Elsewhere, Tamar Braxton and her mom whip up soulful dishes and heartfelt stories in their new “Cooking Sessions with Tamar & Ms. E" on CLEO TV.

  • Flavor Flav Partners With GoFundMe To Help Black Families Impacted By LA Wildfires

    Flavor Flav has joined forces with GoFundMe and the Black Music Action Coalition to support Black families displaced by the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Pasadena. 

    In an emotional Instagram video, he emphasized, “Not enough is being done for the Black families and community in the aftermath of the California fires.” 

    The fundraiser, which has surpassed $50,000, aims to aid families with rebuilding their lives, addressing displacement, and recovering lost income. Funds will be distributed via the Displaced Black Families GoFundMe Directory, created by Community Aid Dena, AFROPUNK, and WalkGood LA. 

  • Lil Wayne and Hot Boys are reuniting

    Live Nation Urban and Lil Weezyana announced on January 22 that the Hot Boys will reunite for a special three-date Southern tour in February. 

    Lil Wayne, Turk, Juvenile, and B.G. will perform in Tampa, Charlotte and wrap up in St. Louis on February 28. Known for rare appearances together, the group thrilled fans last year at Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans with a performance of classics like “I Need a Hot Girl” and “Neighborhood Superstar,” alongside solo hits such as Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up” and B.G.’s “Bling Bling.” 

    Tickets for the highly anticipated tour will be available for pre-sale starting Tuesday, January 22, and general sales begin Friday, January 24, at lilweezyanafest.com.

  • Ski Mask The Slump God to headline Rolling Loud benefits concert

    Ski Mask The Slump God is headlining a sold-out Rolling Loud pop-up concert in Florida on January 20 to aid Los Angeles wildfire victims. 

    Co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif shared that the event has raised $25,000 from tickets, with proceeds benefiting GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief and merch sales supporting the Anti-Recidivism Coalition’s Firefighter Fund. Additionally, Rolling Loud California 2025 will allocate a portion of its ticket sales to the cause, reinforcing its commitment to relief efforts.

  • Tamar And Evelyn “Ms. E” Braxton Land ‘Cooking Sessions’ TV Series

    In “Cooking Sessions with Tamar & Ms. E,” Tamar Braxton and her mother, Evelyn “Ms. E,” bring family, food, and fun to the screen. 

    The new CLEO TV series premieres Wednesday, March 26, at 9 p.m. ET/CT, showcasing soulful recipes and heartfelt conversations. The series, described as a blend of “life, laughs, and stories” that celebrate culture and resilience, even features a guest appearance by Trina Braxton.

  • George Clinton and others to be inducted in Songwriters Hall Of Fame’s Class Of 2025

    George Clinton and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins have been named among the 2025 inductees for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, an institution honoring exceptional contributions to music. 

    Announced on Jan. 22, the class includes Clinton, a founder of Parliament-Funkadelic, and GRAMMY-winning producer Jerkins, alongside Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Patrick Simmons (The Doobie Brothers), an more.

    The induction ceremony will take place on June 12 at New York City's Marriott Marquis Hotel. Established in 1969, the Hall of Fame recognizes influential figures in music, with past honorees including icons like  Missy Elliott and Sade.
