Nas Teams Up With Sweet Chick Restaurant

Popular NY eatery expanding around the nation with Queens MC.

Most New Yorkers know all about famous fried chicken hot spot Sweet Chick, and now, it seems like the rest of the country will soon get in on the grub. According to Page Six, the restaurant currently has plans to expand, with the help of Queens rapper Nas.

The exclusive report states that Sweet Chick is planning on opening additional locations in other major cities across the United States. Currently, the popular restaurant has two locations in New York: one on the Lower East Side and the other — its original location since 2013 — in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

While no additional details on the expansion have been revealed just yet, the column reports that the owner John Seymour "has an announcement in the works about the expansion plan." He is also expected to verify that the "N.Y. State of Mind" MC will be collaborating with the brand in some way as it branches out.

Local fans of the popular restaurant are in for a treat this weekend as it is hosting a pop-up barbecue outside of its Williamsburg location, today (Saturday, June 13).
