Pusha T And No Malice Grieves Father’s Passing On Social Media

The cause of death is unknown.

The Clipse brothers, Pusha T and No Malice shared on social media that they lost their father, Gene Elliott Thornton Sr., over the weekend.

Terrence LeVarr Thornton, better known by his stage name Pusha T, made the announcement on his Instagram page Monday afternoon with a photo and a video of his father pictured with his one-year-old son Nigel Brixx Thornton.

“I love you Dad…you taught me to remain poised, to always be calculated, to be prideful, and to respect the hustle and hard work but to know the difference between the two,” read the caption on the rapper’s post.

“I am who I am because of you and I’ve always been proud to be your son. We are all gonna miss you… R.I.P. Gene Elliott Thornton Sr. 🙏🏿”

Gene Elliott Thornton Jr., better known by his stage name No Malice,  also took to Instagram to share the news of his father’s passing with a verse from Psalms.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them ALL,” the caption read.

The brothers also lost their mother this past November. Their father’s cause of death is unknown.
