Watch: Your Favorite Seahawks' Bae Richard Sherman Dressed Up as Harry Potter for His Son

And black nerds everywhere swooned.

On Wednesday night, during a Seattle Seahawks' press conference, cornerback Richard Sherman appeared as Harry Potter — and broke the internet.

Sherman said that his son, Rayden, asked him to dress as Harry, and with Sherman being a huge fan of the wizards' series, he happily obliged.

In the past, Sherman has expressed his deep admiration for the Harry Potter series. During an interview with USA Today, Sherman detailed why Ron Weasley is his favorite character.

“Because Ron always surprised you,” Sherman explained during the interview. “Ron always seemed like he knew what was going on, but was always in the right place and came through in the clutch when he needed to. It was like he did some really cool stuff in the Deathly Hallows, in the first Deathly Hallows, him coming through and getting the sword of Gryffindor, come on. That was a huge deal. People don’t give him any credit. The first one, the Chamber of Secrets, they’re definitely not winning the chess game without Ron there.”

So naturally, it makes sense that Sherman would not only dress as Potter during the press conference, but also go to great lengths to compare football with Quidditch.

“Five quarters of football is pretty tough, but Quidditch — the beaters, the chasers, trying to find the golden snitch, things like that, that’s tough,” Sherman said.

When people saw Sherman’s impressive costume, it took no time at all for them to give credit where it’s due.

Hopefully, this starts a new costume press conference trend for the NFL.

Looking good, Richard.
