Shannon Kane And Perri Camper Announced As Part Of 'American Soul' Cast

BET's new show, "American Soul," which follows the world of "Soul Train," announces new cast members.

Ah! Two more fresh faces have been added to the cast of American Soul.

BET's American Soul uncovers the life of entrepreneur Don Cornelius (most noted for creating Soul Train), his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in an unforgiving Hollywood in the 1970s.
We've already announced that both a Power and a Destiny's Child alum have been cast in the series.
Meet the two new stars we've added to the stunning cast.
Shannon Kane will play Ilsa Dejarnette, a self-made entrepreneur. She is the all-knowing lead attorney for a famous record label at the peak of its success. Isla worked her way to the top and started at the bottom; an Ivy League graduate that knows how to play the game, and play it well.

Perri Camper will play Don Cornelius's wife, Delores Cornelius, the heart and soul of the Cornelius family. While Don is in Los Angeles, Delores holds things down back home in Chicago. Though loyal to Don, the emotional roller coaster of the hit show takes them through a long journey of ups and downs.

Kane is repped by Talentworks and Stride Management. Camper most recently starred as the lead in BET’s digital series The Last One as well as the hit biopic The Bobby Brown Story. She’s repped by MMV agency.
