Pusha T Gets Apology From Virginia Nightclub

Venue112 owner says "sorry," denies racist door policy.

The Virginia Beach nightclub that had the bad sense to deny entry to Pusha T and his friends has apologized to the "Lunch Money" rapper, while still standing by its door policy, which many have claimed is racist.
"@kingpush I'm sorry I offended you it was not my intent and I apologize," wrote Jon Lindsay, owner of Venue112 nightclub, in a message that Pusha reposted to his Instagram. "I know you will find many in our community who will vouch for the content of my character. I meant you no disrespect. If you would ever like to give Venue112 another chance let me know and I will happily accommodate you."

Lindsay added, however, there is a "guest list only" policy during prime club-going hours, and that that they give "preferential treatment to the people we know and the guests they bring."

Push put the club on blast after he heard Lindsay instruct the bouncer to tell Push and his crew, "we are on guest list only tonight," even though the club was not at capacity and they had already been given wristbands.

The rapper believed the move to be racially motivated and called out the spot on social media, at which point dozens of similar stories started pouring in from Black people who were turned away from Venue112. Push posted those to his IG as well, alongside a note from Pharrell that reads in part, "The 757 will not support establishments that practice bigotry."
Based on the ongoing comments, Black Instagram isn't here for Lindsay's apology, and — for now at least — King Push is keeping it neutral.
