Onijah Robinson Has Reportedly Gone Missing After Alleged Detainment in Dubai

The internet-dubbed “Queen of Pakistan” was reportedly involved in a heated interaction with locals.

A New York woman who traveled to Pakistan in search of love and unexpectedly became an overnight sensation is now allegedly being held in a Dubai jail, according to multiple reports.

Onijah Robinson, dubbed the “Queen of Pakistan” by the internet, flew to Karachi last October after falling in love with 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon, whom she had met online.

However, upon her arrival, Memon’s family rejected the marriage and ultimately took the teen into hiding, leaving Robinson stranded as her tourist visa had expired. She later went viral after online clips surfaced of her interacting with local press. In these clips, she demanded large sums of money and even suggested plans to improve the city’s infrastructure.

According to The Express Tribune and The Mirror, Robinson was departing Karachi on a flight back to New York but had a layover in Dubai for a connecting flight. Footage from the airport showed her being escorted by officials onto the jet bridge.

One account suggested that airline personnel removed her from the plane for security reasons, though no additional sources have confirmed this claim. Other reports state that Robinson was placed in protective custody after exiting Dubai International Airport and was found roaming the streets

Some speculate that her detention may be linked to a heated exchange she had with a local. As many know, Dubai enforces strict regulations on public conduct, particularly regarding interactions between men and women.

As of now, Robinson seems to have vanished from the public eye. Her TikTok account has remained inactive for some time, and there have been no updates from local Abu Dhabi media regarding her whereabouts.
