  • Lizzo opens up the BET Awards 2022

    Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Lizzo opened this year’s awards ceremony with a show-stopping flute-led performance of her hit single “About Damn Time.”

  • Jack Harlow brings out Brandy & Lil Wayne

    Audience members were already blown away by Jack Harlow and Lil Wayne’s presentation of the Kentucky native’s track “Poison.” Jack later surprised viewers with a special musical guest, Brandy, who wowed fans with a rap verse: “Allow me to reintroduce myself.”

  • Latto featuring Mariah Carey

    BET Awards 2022 “Best New Artist” winner and  rapper Latto  made her debut at the BET Awards stage, performing her hit singles “It’s Givin” and “Big Energy.” The Atlanta-based emcee looked snatched in a black body suit emblazoned with pearls and gold pieces. For her presentation of the latter’s single, Latto was joined on stage by iconic singer-songwriter and actress Mariah Carey for a fantasy performance, come true.

  • Diddy takes the stage for a Bad Boy reunion

    The man of the hour and BET Awards 2022 “Lifetime Achievement Award” recipient Sean “Diddy” Combs took to the stage before accepting his prestigious honor with a star-studded performance featuring several musical legends, including Shyne, Lil Kim, The Lox, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Faith Evans, and Maverick City Music with Jodeci and Mary J. Blige kicked things off performance “Come & Talk to Me” and “I’m Going Down,” respectively.

  • Billy Porter brings Ballroom culture to the BET Awards

    For the first time on the BET Awards stage, ballroom culture was in full effect thanks to actor and performer Billy Porter, who led an ensemble group of some of the most influential figures from the LGBTQ+ community, including Pose star Dominique Jackson who praised the network the following day on Instagram for the efforts poured into the inaugural event.
