Kanye West, Kim Kardashian Met With President Obama

‘Ye hits Twitter to reveal meeting and announce his support for the Democrats.

Looks like Kanye West and President Barack Obama have put their past issues behind them. West took to Twitter Tuesday evening to reveal he and his wife, Kim Kardashian, had a meeting with the president last month. “Me and my wife met with President Obama two weeks ago,” the rapper stated on Twitter during a string of Election Day tweets.

Yeezy and POTUS seemed to be at odds since 2009 when Obama called the hip hop star “a jackass” following the infamous Taylor Swift incident at the MTV VMAs. There were other comments made by both sides since then, like when ‘Ye said he and his wife were more influential than the president. Obama also sparked a media frenzy when he made remarks about the ostentatious lifestyle of West and his then-fiancèe Kim Kardashian. "Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”

With things seemingly back on good terms, West was focused on spreading the word about the importance of people getting out to vote on Election Day.

“I’m supporting the Democratic ticket in these midterms," he said on Twitter. “The midterms are extremely important.”

The “Bound 2” rapper is currently a registered voter in New York state.
