Drake and Biggie Are Apparently on the Same Level Now

The numbers don’t lie.

Wondering what late golden-era artists would think of today’s leading rappers always makes for an interesting rabbit hole to go down.

Regardless of the hypothetical of what Biggie would say about Drake if he were alive today, the facts stand that in terms of numbers, both artists now have a chart-topping achievement in common.

As reported by Billboard, the Toronto-born rapper has now tied Brooklyn’s finest by scoring more than one chart-leading debut.

Drizzy reached this career milestone thanks to his January release of “Summer Sixteen," which also resulted in the rapper replacing himself at the top, bumping "Work," his collaboration with Rihanna, to No. 2 on the charts.

As Billboard shares, only 13 songs have debuted at the No. 1 spot on the charts for the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs category. Up until now, Rihanna and Biggie have been the only two acts to score more than one song to debut at the top of the charts, and that impressive accomplishment is added to Drake's curriculum vitae.

The Notorious B.I.G. made history on the charts back in 1995 with back-to-back hits “One More Chance" and “Hypnotize.”
