Commentary: Is Geraldo Out of His Mind?

Geraldo Rivera has tweeted that Black kids shouldn't wear hoodies because it is a sign that they will either be stopped and frisked or shot. That's just madness.

Geraldo Rivera is wading into the Trayvon Martin matter. The pundit-journalist recently tweeted: "Trayvon killed by a jerk w a gun but black & Latino parents have to drill into kids heads: a hoodie is like a sign: shoot or stop & frisk me"

He also tweeted: "His hoodie killed Trayvon Martin as surely as George Zimmerman."

That's just madness. If you are Black, you're not allowed to wear a hoodie out of fear you're going to be shot by a neighborhood watch captain who reportedly has issues with Black males. Talk about blaming the victim.

No matter who you are, you should be able to walk down the street wearing what you want without fearing for your life.

Geraldo needs to rethink his parenting skills.
