Sexyy Red Doubles Down on Her Loyalty to Drake

From viral bars to surprise pull-ups, she’s not switching sides and she’s letting the whole world know it.

Regardless of how the world might feel about Drake, Sexyy Red is standing firm in his corner. No second-guessing. No switching up. During London’s “Wireless Festival,” she popped out on stage to perform “U My Everything” with him, and just a week later (July 18), she showed love again online. Taking to X, she wrote, “They could never convince me to hate you.” And honestly, with the hits they’ve delivered together and the way they ride for each other, can you really blame her?

Their chemistry on wax is undeniable. “Rich Baby Daddy” had the internet in a tight grip, debuting at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaking at No. 10 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50. The moment it dropped, it was everywhere—club speakers, car rides, captions, and challenges. And even before that, Sexyy was pulling up for Drake during his It’s All a Blur Tour in 2023, making surprise appearances just to show love. The support has always been mutual.

Still, not everyone is sold on their dynamic. When Kendrick Lamar rapped “When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad b*tches” on “Euphoria,” the internet did what it always does—split in two. Some folks took it as shade. Others took it as a moment of co-sign. Either way, it didn’t seem to shake anything on their end.

While streaming live with Adin Ross, Drake talked about keeping real relationships close in the industry and mentioned Sexyy as one of those people. “I do,” he said when asked if they talk often. “She hits me and she’ll be like, ‘Man, I’m always with you, man. I just be thinking about you, man.’ Shout out to Sexyy, man!”

And just to let folks know where he stands, Drake even flipped Kendrick’s line in her favor, saying, “When I see her, I see two bad ones, n**ga what’s up!” One thing’s clear: this duo isn’t going anywhere.
