Al Roker Rushed Back To Hospital 24 Hours After Being Released
On Thanksgiving day, legendary broadcaster Al Roker was released from the hospital after fighting blood clots. The 68-year-old has now been readmitted.
According to Page Six, Roker was rushed back to the hospital less than 24 hours later on Nov. 25, the day after Thanksgiving. His condition improved when he was under hospital care. A source told PEOPLE, Roker “had to go to the hospital in an ambulance and [Roker's wife Deborah Roberts] was locked out of her car and couldn't get inside it. The car malfunctioned. She couldn't get her phone or any of her belongings." Roker missed this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, his first time not attending the parade in 27 years.
On Nov. 18, Roker revealed that he was recently admitted to the hospital after a blood clot in his leg also caused clotting in his lungs. In late 2020, Roker announced on Today that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer during an annual physical. At the time, he said the cancer was caught early, and he underwent surgery to remove his prostate.
