Offset Sounds Off After Son and Stefon Diggs Debut Matching Braids
Offset is making it clear he won’t tolerate anything that feels like disrespect, especially when it involves his kids.
The rapper took to X on Tuesday (June 4) after fans noticed that his 3-year-old son, Wave, and Cardi B’s rumored new boo, NFL star Stefon Diggs, were sporting the same braided hairstyle. The images of both Wave and Diggs quickly went viral, prompting accusations that Offset was being “trolled” via his child, and he wasn't having it.
“Now when somebody die for playing with my son then call me the crash out,” the former Migos member, 33, wrote in a post on X. He followed it up with, “Idc how I look trolling wit my kid ends bad.”
However, not long after, Offset deactivated both his X and Instagram accounts.
According to Page Six, Wave has been wearing the braided style since at least April. Meanwhile, Diggs, 31, was first spotted with the same pattern this week while training with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
While the coincidence may be innocent, the tension between Offset and Cardi B has been anything but subtle.
Though Offset previously said he was happy for his estranged wife, Cardi has not held back in recent weeks when discussing their rocky relationship.
In a recent X Spaces chat, the Bronx rapper shared just how mentally exhausting the marriage had become, citing cheating, lies, and manipulation as the final straws.“I don’t think people understand how tired I was. How tired, how mentally drained I was. I was literally losing my mind,” she said. “I gave it chances after chances after chances.”
She didn’t mince words when describing just how bad things got. “I was going to end up going to jail, ‘cause I was going to end up killing [him]. Seriously, with my own bare hands,” she shared on a live stream.
Though neither Cardi nor Diggs have commented publicly on the matching braids or Offset’s reaction, Offset's abrupt social media exit suggests the fallout is far from over.
