What a busy day at the White House.

As President Obama was meeting with president-elect Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, J.R. Smith and the 2016 NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers were spotted arriving at the White House to be honored for winning the league title.

After the Cavs defeated the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals this past June, President Obama placed a congratulatory phone call to the team's coach Tyronn Lue, inviting the squad to visit him in the White House before he leaves office.

Well, King James and his crew took him up on that offer, making sure to visit President Obama today ... and avoid Trump at all costs.

President Obama and the newly elected president Trump were originally scheduled to meet for only 10 minutes. However, their meeting in the Oval Office today wound up lasting for roughly 90 minutes, as the two said they spoke about a wide-ranging scope of topics by the meeting's end just before 1 p.m. EST.

President Obama is set to host and honor the Cavs inside of the East Room of the White House, beginning at 1:50 p.m. EST today.

If President Obama's hilarious interactions with championship sports teams of the past are any indication, you could be rest assured that King James and the Cavs will be on the receiving end of quite a few roasts from the commander-in-chief, who happens to be a big sports fan.
