T.I. is defending himself after being pulled deeper into the "Blurred Lines" court case. In his first statement since Marvin Gaye's three children filed a motion to hold him accountable in the more than $7 million “Blurred Lines” judgment, the 34-year-old rapper was respectfully adamant that he did not commit copyright infringement. 

“I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and the estate of Marvin Gaye, and I have nothing but support and extreme admiration for my partner Pharrell,” he told a TMZ camera guy at LAX. “Whatever happens, the universe will deal with it. I know that I’m a writer, I’m a creator. I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music — I know that. And I think anybody with common sense will be able to see it.”

While Gaye's children seek further legal resolve, sales of the late singer's music have seen a bump since the "Blurred Lines" trial. 

Asked more about his inclusion in the suit, T.I. reiterated that he did nothing wrong, but said that it was ultimately “out of his hands."
