Jamaican artist and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Spice recently came under fire for her polarizing marketing ploy of using whiteface to promote her latest single, prompting many to believe that she bleached her skin.

While Spice is being dragged across social media for her approach to bringing awareness to colorism, one person who is unapologetically on her side is Love & Hip Hop: Miami star Amara La Negra, who spiritedly came to her defense in a recent interview.

Speaking with TMZ, Amara explained that those who are lashing out at Spice completely missed the point and misread her inteitions.

"This is such a great opportunity to shout out my girl, Spice," she said. "People are gonna say whatever they want to say and people are going to be sensitive and they're going to feel whatever type of way but at the end of the day, I support her. Amara La Negra is supporting Spice 100 percent."

Expounding more of her support for her L&HH sister, she shared that she understands why Spice went to the lengths she did to get her point across.

"I feel that she was smart," she continued. "She used a strategy that worked. Sometimes, you have to do drastic things for people to pay attention because when you're vocal about it and you continuously say it, people don't listen. So, you do something drastic."

Well, in that case, mission accomplished.
