Jada Pinkett Smith's Mom Talks Divorce On Latest ‘Red Table Talk’

"I have had a lot of romantic heartbreak,” Adrienne Banfield-Norris said.

On today’s (Dec. 15) episode of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith’s mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris gets candid about divorce.

In an exclusive clip from PEOPLE, the 67-year-old said, "I have had a lot of romantic heartbreak. This one particular failure in one of my marriages is that I really built up in my head that this was my one true love and I’ll never love like this again.”

She continued, “It wasn’t a divorce that I wanted, but at the end of the day, when you really, really look at the relationship honestly, it’s like, 'This one’s going nowhere but to divorce.' "

It’s not clear if Banfield-Norris was referencing Robsol Pinkett Jr., Jada’s father. Adrienne had Jada when she was 17 and she was briefly married to her father. He passed away in 2010.
