The last time WTF saw Jaleel White, best known for his role as the nerdy Steve Urkel on the hit '90s sitcom "Family Matters," he was launching a jumper at an NBA Entertainment League game in Santa Monica. Make no mistake, the brother has skills on the court and now he's going to test his other talents on the big screen.\r
White, who has a degree in filmmaking from UCLA, has written a screenplay about  a dude who starts a relationship with a girl by texting her on his friend's phone. "Did You Get My Text, will be produced by Matthew Cooke and Bert Marcus. No word on whether White, 31, will star in this comedy.\r
The actor, who started on "Family Matters" when he was 12, hasn't done a lot of it lately. His last big screen appearance was in 2006's "Dreamgirls" playing a club manager. His most recent television appearances have been on 2007 episodes of "The Game" and "Boston Legal."
