Watch: Arkansas 8-Month-Old Miraculously Survives Being Thrown From Moving Car

Bryce Hale barely had a scratch on her.

After a terrible car accident on Arkansas Interstate 30, a mother and her family were faced with their worst nightmare.

Jakesia Colson was riding in the car with her friend Trina Johnson in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Friday night. When an 18-wheeler clipped the side of the car, Johnson’s daughter, Justice Lawson, watched her mother get flung from the car by the deployed airbag.

However, Johnson was not the only one to be ejected from the vehicle. Colson’s 8-month-old baby, Bryce Hale, was also thrown from the car.

"I started running up and down the highway looking everywhere for her, calling her name," Colson told WLOX. "I didn't hear a baby crying, no baby screaming, nothing. I panicked. I thought she was gone. It was the worst 15 minutes of my life trying to look for her."

When Texarkana firefighters arrived on the scene, they found Bryce in a drainage grate at least 25 feet away. Upon examining her, they realized that she had nothing more than a tiny scratch on her forehead. Thus, they called Bryce a miracle baby.

"I know it was a miracle," said Colson. "The way they had to pull her out of the drain. They couldn't just pull her out. They had to turn her head a certain way and turn her body a certain way to get her out. She was just sitting there looking up, waiting for them to come get her."

Additionally, Justice, Trina, Jakesia, Bryce and the baby's aunt, Shameerah Colson, all survived without serious injuries. However, Trina still remains in the hospital.

"I was just overwhelmed with joy," said Jakesia Colson. "I started crying and thanking God for sparing my baby, for sparing us, for not taking my angel away from me. She is my miracle baby.

The driver of that 18-wheeler has been cited for an improper and unsafe lane change. Officials also said that Bryce was ejected because her car seat was not properly installed.
