  • I Am Hip Hop Award

Hip Hop veteran Nelly was honored with the “I Am Hip Hop Award” during the 2021 ceremony presented by friend and legendary producer Jermaine Dupri. During his acceptance speech, the “Country Grammar” rapper spoke about the influence LL Cool J had on him early on in his career, crediting him as a massive force to pursue his music in his way. “I started jacking a lot of his s**t from him,” he joked. “We talked about that; he’s forgiven me.”
