Dwyane Wade Makes Fragrance Debut with New Aramis Cologne Line
Dwayne Wade just added fragrance mogul to his already stacked resume.
The NBA legend has officially launched his own cologne line, debuting as the new face of the iconic brand Aramis—and making one of his longtime dreams a reality.
“It has always been a dream of mine to be in a fragrance campaign,” Wade shared with Vogue ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, where he quietly celebrated the launch in a sleek, tailored Prada look. “I’m an everyday fragrance wearer. It’s: Wash my face, brush my teeth, put fragrance on. I want other people to have a memory of me through scent.”
The new scent marks the former basketball star’s entry into the fragrance world and reflects a personal legacy.
Growing up in Chicago, Wade revealed that his first introduction to cologne came from his father, who wore Cool Water. “Watching my dad put it on showed me how important fragrance is,” he said.
As for his Met Gala look, Wade’s approach was all about polish and intention—literally and figuratively. Embracing the theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' he completed his ensemble with a chrome-finished manicure by celebrity nail artist Thuy Nguyen, adding a sharp, personalized edge to his refined style.
“Dwyane always shows up with an open mind and creative spirit,” Nguyen said. “We added multicolored dots to give a playful but cohesive finish.”
Of course, the final touch was a few spritzes of his new Aramis scent—equal parts classic and cool. “I want this scent to feel personal, memorable, and timeless,” he said. “It’s not just about smelling good—it’s about making an impression that lasts.”
Now 43, Wade says stepping into the fragrance lane is more than just a style move, it’s legacy work.
