21 Savage Speaks Out On Gun Violence In Atlanta

The city has been impacted by shootings.

Gun violence is impacting cities across the country. On July 24 in Atlanta, Georgia, 11 people were shot in less than five hours. Rapper 21 Savage is now speaking out.

On August 8, the 29-year-old tweeted, “Atlanta we have to do better. Put the f****** guns down !!!!!”

Fears of gun violence in Atlanta is only worsening after the “Safe Carry Protection Act” passed. The law expanded Georgia’s already loose gun statutes to grant residents the right to carry in bars, churches, schools and other private businesses. In September, the Music Midtown festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta canceled their event because they were not allowed to ban guns. The cancellation was a $50 million loss to the city of Atlanta.
