‘Abbott Elementary’ Leslie Odom Jr. To Guest Star In Season 2

Other guests have also been announced.

Students are heading back to school and so is Abbott Elementary, which will soon premiere its second season.

The Emmy Award-winning, Quinta Brunson-created and starring ABC show announced on Wednesday (September 14) during its portion of the Television Critics Association summer tour that Leslie Odom Jr. leads a roster of special guest stars for Season 2.

ABC also announced Wednesday that Lauren Weedman (Euphoria) and Keyla Monterroso Mejia (Curb Your Enthusiasm) will also make appearances on the program.

The Wrap reports that Odom Jr. will portray Draemond, the owner of a string of charter schools in the area who pays a visit to Abbott. Weedman will play Kristin Marie, a teacher from a neighboring school while Mejia is Ashley, a teacher’s aide at the school.

Brunson is coming off of three Emmy wins, including a historic victory for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

Abbott Elementary returns to ABC on September 21, with a next-day premiere on Hulu.
