Jay-Z Signs M.I.A. to Roc Nation Management

Jay-Z Signs M.I.A. to Roc Nation Management. The electro-pop rapper is set to release her Matangi album this fall.

Jay-Z's just made a new addition to his Roc Nation crew. According to the company website, British rapper M.I.A recently inked a management deal with the label, reports the LA Times. She joins a roster that includes Rihanna, Santigold, Melanie Fiona, Wale, Mark Ronson and Shakira.

J. Cole, Willow  Smith, Bridget Kelly, Jay Electronica and most recently Rita Ora are among the people who are signed directly to the label. Although the Roc seems to be brimming with new, young, feminine energy there appears to be no competition amidst the family or artists. On Monday (May 21), Rih Rih tweeted "Welcome home MIA" and posted pics of the two of them backstage at the Watch the Throne concert in London.

The "Paper Planes" rapper is currently working on her fourth album Matangi, due this fall. She recently announced a remix of her "Bad Girls" song featuring Missy Elliott, Azealia Banks and Rye Rye.
