Wendy Williams and Barbara Walters Have Heated Discussion About Parenting
She usually comments on hot topics, but Wendy Williams became one herself when she had a breakdown on her show while reflecting on her relationship with her 13-year-old son. On Thursday, Williams appeared on The View and spoke to Barbara Walters in a teary admission that her relationship with Kevin, Jr. isn't what it used to be.
"I know that 13 and probably the next five to eight years, according to how I remember me acting, he will be like this," Williams says of the distance between her and her son. "His gravitation towards his father is a natural thing. They both have an affection for sneakers, fast cars…”
Walters pointed out that the "rift" between Williams and her son sounds like normal teenage moodiness, but Williams immediately shut her down.
“For about the last year, it has been, ‘Kevin, stop leaving tooth paste chunks in the sink.' You tell ‘em that once, you tell ‘em that three times," she said. "If I ask you to do something once, you do it then. Barbara, I don’t play that.”
From the looks of it, Williams doesn't need any parenting advice from Walters, or anyone else for that matter. The talk show queen shared a homemade card her son gave her after her televised meltdown, listing the "Top Five Things I Love About Mom."
