Tesla Linked to D4vd Was Ticketed Days Before Teen’s Body Discovered
A Tesla registered to singer David Anthony Burke, known as d4vd, was cited for a parking violation just 11 days before the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in its trunk, according to FOX 11 News.
According to Los Angeles city records, the 2023 Tesla had been parked on Bluebird Avenue in the Hollywood Hills for more than a week when a parking enforcement officer marked the vehicle on Aug. 27. It was later impounded, and on Sept. 8, a day after Rivas’ reported birthday. Later, tow yard workers reported a strong odor coming from the trunk. Police responding to the scene found her body wrapped in a bag.
Fox 11 also reports that on Sept. 17, LAPD served a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills home Burke had rented and seized possible evidence. Burke reportedly moved out of the home on Sept. 24. Police say he is cooperating and has not been named a suspect.
Rivas was first reported missing in April 2024. Earlier this month, TMZ reported that her mother said she knew her daughter was dating someone named “David.” Rivas and d4vd shared matching “Sshhh…” tattoos.
Amid the investigation, d4vd canceled the remainder of his “Withered” world tour, and Crocs and Hollister dropped him from campaigns. UMG and Interscope have pulled promotion of his music. Reports have shown that fans have been dissecting his lyrics and resurfaced interviews, noting his references to violent alter egos and a leaked song titled “Celeste_Demounfin.”
Last week, a former teacher of Rivas was recorded telling students she had run away before and was later found by police.
