Warren Moon Blasts Robert Griffin III for Lack of Focus

Hall of Famer thinks embattled quarterback should stop blaming others for disappointing play.

Warren Moon is letting it be known that the only person that Robert Griffin III has to blame for his social media debacle is himself.

"He hasn't helped his situation. All that social media stuff. You just can't do that. You have to focus," Moon told TMZ Sports about the embattled Washington quarterback, who blamed an intern for liking an Instagram post ripping the team.

Moon, a Hall of Fame quarterback, says part of the job of being a successful NFL QB is to hold yourself accountable — something he thinks RGIII needs to learn how to do, especially when things go sour.

"He needs to take more blame and stop passing the buck...even if it is someone else's fault," Moon added. "He's not popular with his teammates because of the way he handles things. He's the quarterback and part of that is accepting blame when it's not your fault because you also get all the credit when sometimes you shouldn't."

Moon isn't just blasting Griffin publicly for the sake of it either. He told TMZ that he tried on multiple occasions to reach out to RGIII, but still hasn't been able to get through.

In the meantime, Moon has advice for Griffin when it comes to social media.

"Go dark. We don't need to hear from you right now."

The Hall of Famer slamming Griffin just adds to what's been a difficult few weeks for the quarterback, who was concussed two weeks ago and lost his job as starting QB to backup Kirk Cousins on Monday.
