Iggy Azalea's Lawyers Claim Trademark Infringement in Sex Tape Battle

Porn company warned not to use Aussie rapper's stage name.

Iggy Azalea's lawyers are threatening a trademark infringement lawsuit against the porn company looking to release her alleged sex tape, reports TMZ.

Azalea’s attorneys sent a letter informing Vivid Entertainment that the stage name “Iggy” is protected under U.S. Trademark, making it unlawful for the adult film giant to use the 24-year-old’s stage moniker. The Aussie rapper was born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, the name “Iggy Azalea” comes from a deceased family dog and the name of the street where her family lives in Australia.

The trademark defense is the latest attempt to stop the tape from coming out, although Azalea has said that she never consented to any recording. Her team previously claimed that if the tape was made, Azalea was underage during the recording period.

The man in the reported video is a Houston rapper named Hefe Wine, who says Azalea was 18 at the time. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
