Calvin Faces Off With Tracy (Again) in 'House of Payne' Custody Drama
This week's episode of House of Payne kicks off with Calvin venting to Ella about Tracy popping back up just to make his life harder. Turns out, Tracy’s new boyfriend is moving to Houston, and now she wants to go with him—and take Junior with her. Calvin’s not having it. Especially now that he and Junior have finally made progress in their relationship and Junior’s behavior is on the up. Ella tells him to lawyer up and be ready for a fight, but also reassures him not to stress—because somehow, things always work out.
Later, Calvin vents to Laura at home. Her take? Maybe Junior should go to Houston, since he hasn’t had much time with his mom. Calvin isn’t feeling that at all—and it definitely causes some tension between them.
Then Calvin runs into Miranda over at Curtis and Ella’s house. She’s picking up Christian, but Calvin fills her in on the Tracy drama too. Like Ella, Miranda tells him to call a lawyer. But their conversation isn’t as private as they thought—both Christian and Junior overhear it and make it clear they’re not down with Junior moving to Houston.
By the time Calvin gets home again, Laura’s had a change of heart. She took it upon herself to reach out to Tracy’s boyfriend, Devin, through social media—and she connects him and Calvin by phone. Surprisingly, Devin is super understanding. He agrees that Junior should stay with Calvin and says he’ll talk to Tracy about it. Crisis averted... for now. But you know Tracy—she might still flip the script, especially if it means making life harder for Calvin.
Meanwhile, there’s always a side storyline. This week, it’s about Councilman Dustman. The episode ends with him winning the election and promoting Malik with a raise. That means Malik, Lisa, and the baby can finally move out. CJ and Janine are so relieved. They’re not completely empty nesters yet—they still have the twins—but at least Malik and Lisa packing up is a huge load off.
