'No Improvement' for Lamar Odom, Comparisons to Bobbi Kristina

The NBA player is in dire straits, Khloé Kardashian will not leave his side.

Lamar Odom is breathing through a ventilator with virtually no chance of recovery, and his family is preparing for the end.
A family source tells TMZ that Odom is in "dire straights" and was "entirely unresponsive" on Thursday. Even if he manages to survive, the source says, doctors have said he has virtually no chance of ever leading a normal life again. His condition is being compared to Bobbi Kristina Brown, who spent six months in a coma before passing away this past July. The big difference between Bobbi Kristina and Odom, though, is that the former NBA player didn't lose nearly as much oxygen to the brain as Whitney Houston's daughter. Still, there's little hope for his recovery.
After experiencing multiple organ failure due to heavy drug use during his three-day binge at a Nevada brothel, Odom's condition has steadily deteriorated, giving doctors no options and leaving a tough decision in the hands of his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian.

Since their divorce was never affirmed by a judge, Kardashian is in charge of his medical decisions. She is reportedly "emotionally drained" and was "unprepared" to take on the responsibility. Though, Kardashian's support system — her sisters and mother — has been at her side from the moment she found out the tragic news.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner traveled with her to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas where Odom is being treated, and have been there ever since. Within 48 hours, sisters Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie canceled all plans so that they could be with Khoé. The entire family has gone silent on their apps, though Kris, Kendall, Kylie and brother Rob Kardashian have all asked for prayers on social media. Kim also canceled her baby shower, which was supposed to take place on October 14 at the Beverly Hills estate of Allison Azoff, the same place where Khloé and Lamar tied the knot in 2009.
While the Kardashians have remained uncharacteristically muted on social media, most of the details about the days leading up to Odom's hospitalization have been provided by Dennis Hof, owner of the Love Ranch South, the infamous brothel where the former NBA player had been partying before he overdosed. Khloé put Hof on blast for exploiting the tragedy to advertise his brothel, but when her publicist asked him to stop talking to the press, he coldly responded by telling the grieving reality star to "go to hell."
Odom's family, including his father, Joe, his ex-wife, Liza Morales, and their two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., are also at his side. Several of Odom's celebrity friends, including Kobe Bryant and Rev. Jesse Jackson, have visited the hospital. Other have expressed their sentiments to the press and on social media, with Oprah Winfrey saying she is "devastated" at the news.
