Robin Roberts to Pen Memoir on Battle With MDS

The Good Morning America host will share her journey and life lessons learned along the way.

Robin Roberts has been an inspiration to many as she's bravely faced her battle with MDS, a blood and bone marrow disorder. Now the Good Morning America host is set to pen her own memoir to talk about her journey through the disease from diagnosis to recovery and the life lessons she learned along the way.
"I am humbled that many have an interest, and draw strength from my on-going journey," Roberts said in her publisher's statement on the memoir. "I'm grateful for the prayers and well wishes of so many people."
Roberts was open about her condition and announced that she would be taking a break from the show to be treated for the disease. She underwent chemotherapy, received a bone marrow transplant from her sister, and made a triumphant return to GMA in February.
The yet-to-be-titled book will be released April 2014 through Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group.
