People Are Slamming New Trumpcare Plan That Will Leave 23 Million Uninsured by 2026

Those who are poor, have pre-existing conditions, or older will be affected the worst.

A report by the Congressional Budget Office has caused many to criticize the most recent GOP health care plan, which is projected to leave 23 million people without coverage by 2026. In addition to the long term effect, the CBO projected 14 million more people would be uninsured by 2018 than they were under the Affordable Care Act.

Additionally, many could see their premiums skyrocket next year if their state chooses to use the waiver allowing them to sidestep the Obamacare guideline requiring insurance companies to keep costs the same, regardless of a person's pre-existing condition.

The CBO report also said “out-of-pocket spending on maternity care and mental health and substance abuse services could increase by thousands of dollars.”

Although the plan could save the country $119 billion over the next 10 years, it would detrimentally affect the health of millions of Americans.

“In 2026,” the report said, “an estimated 51 million people under age 65 would be uninsured, compared with 28 million who would lack insurance that year under current law.”

  • Based on the findings in the report, many people are furious the House passed such harmful legislation

  • The immediate consequences of the bill were a heavy topic of discussion

  • As well as the anger towards many GOP House members for celebrating the bill's passing on the White House lawn
