Beyoncé Kicks Off Mrs. Carter Tour

Beyoncé picked Belgrade, Serbia, of all places, to kick off her Mrs. Carter tour yesterday (April 15), and judging from the photos that are starting to pop up online, it’s the hottest thing to hit Serbia since the Ottoman Empire.
Seriously, the central European country has gone through some hard times since the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1980s, and its current negotiation to enter into the European Union is being stunted by political uneasiness around recognizing the 2008 independence of Kosovo (which was part of the Kingdom of Serbia).
Mrs. Carter, a whirlwind of culture-mixing and "Single Ladies" independence, came through with her next level dancers, choreography and special effects and turned the global spotlight up even brighter on the nation.
Her wardrobe, in particular, a mash-up of well-established and budding American and European designers, has been making news: Stuart Weitzman shoes; outfits by the likes of Julien Macdonald, Dsquared2, Givenchy, Ralph & Russo, Emilio Pucci; and, most notably, that Madonna-esque, mammary-outlining bodysuit by the Blonds.
Young B will continue her jaunt across the pond in Croatia, Slovakia and Holland before she hits fashion capital Paris on April 24.
She'll be stateside in time for the BET Experience.
If you still don't have tickets for her headlining performance June 28 at the Staples Center, what exactly are you waiting for? VIP Packages are available; don’t sleep.
