In a Rolling Stone interview, the 31-year-old shared the her chart-topping hit, “Truth Hurts,” was the result of a break-up that sent her emotionally reeling and led to an emotional breakdown. “As f**ked up as it sounds, I needed that heartbreak experience,” she told Rolling Stone. “I’m not sad, because I use the pain so constructively. It’s inevitable. The pain is human experience.”

  • In a new interview with UK publication The Sunday Times, Lizzo spoke about her current feelings toward relationships and overcoming her self-esteem issues. She revealed that she once truly believed for the longest that she would have “no children” and “only two friends,” according to Buzzfeed

    However, she shared that her outlook toward relationships is much “different now,” despite her past reservations. She has since opened up herself up to the possibility of having children someday. 

  • “Like my relationship with my family, I am working on that,” Lizzo revealed. “I open up to friendships. I [am] open to the idea of ​​children, which is great for me, because my albums are my babies.”

While most fans wrote it off as playful banter from French, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was a line behind him waiting for a chance at romance with Lizzo.
