Rhode Island Senator Tiara Mack Remains Unbothered After Fallout Over 4th Of July Twerk Video

The brilliant politician also took to Instagram to sound off on respectability politics and the faux outrage, calling it “tacky.”

Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack, 28, had conservatives and their uptight britches in a bunch over her now-viral TikTok July 4 twerk video. The icing on the cake was the 28-year-old Ivy League graduate remained unbothered.

The openly gay, Democrat Black politician served a** and lots of it as she enjoyed a day of leisure at Block Island on Monday. The eight-second clip on TikTok featured the bronze-dipped senator hitting a handstand while serving a righteous twerk as someone filmed her.

Mack ended the short vid with a bright, coy smile, saying, “Vote Senator Mack.”

The video, which has garnered almost 6,000 likes, had social media divided.

Detractors of the clip whined about the District Six rep making Black women look bad and her antics were the reason Mack couldn’t be taken seriously as a politician.

Mack’s supporters defended the 28-year-old living her best life.

With bigger fish to fry like mass shootings and abortion rights being rescinded, the state senator succinctly gathered conservatives and naysayers with one sentence.

“Damn. Twerking upside down really makes the conservative, unhinged internet accounts pop off on a Monday."

The brilliant politician then took to Instagram to sound off on respectability politics and the faux outrage, calling it “tacky.”

Mack is a 2016 graduate of Brown University. She was elected to the seat in November 2020 and is up for reelection in September.
