Quinton Aaron Alleges ‘Spiritual Wife’ Tried to Kill Him

‘The Blind Side’ actor is recovering from a spinal stroke and his ‘spiritual wife’ denied the claim and the family has moved to restrict her hospital access.

Actor Quinton Aaron is recovering in the hospital after a January spinal stroke, and amid slow but encouraging health updates, he has accused a woman who calls herself his “spiritual wife” of trying to harm him.

Aaron told People he’s “focusing on God, my recovery, my family and close friends,” and family members say he’s awake, texting and practicing writing as part of rehab.

However, the actor’s healing has been complicated by a public family dispute. Aaron’s relatives say the woman identified as Margarita Aaron misrepresented herself to hospital staff and to the family, claiming she and Quinton were spiritually married while she is — according to reporting and court filings — still legally wed to another man. Quinton has said he believes the woman “was trying to take [him] out,” and family members moved to have her removed from his room and secured restraining protections. The woman denies any attempt to hurt him and says she loves him and encouraged his healthier choices.

Family members called out “red flags” about her credentials and motives, a restraining order was reported in court filings, and police describe the actor’s earlier fall as “suspicious” while investigators assess the timeline around his collapse and stroke. The family has suggested the woman’s presence complicated medical decisions. She has pushed back publicly and started a GoFundMe to help with Quinton’s healthcare costs.

For now, Quinton’s central focus is recovery. “I went through a lot,” he said, adding that he’s leaning on faith and family as he rehabilitates. Friends and relatives say he’s showing signs of improvement, including regained feeling in his legs and clearer interaction with loved ones. Investigators are reportedly continuing to examine the circumstances around his fall and hospitalization.
